2D and 3D Art

I've been creating and designing 2d images for all my life, whether it would be for personal projects or for work. I've made banners and posters for promoting events at school, and flyers for company products, both for web and print formats. While my drawing skills are lacking, I can still create effective images from scratch, or edit and combine existing pieces of work to make my own new image.

I primarily use Adobe Photoshop for my 2d graphics, but I am also skilled in Adobe Illustrator. Below are a few examples of work I have done, for work, school, and personal projects. Click on the thumbnail for larger versions.
WinMagic - Flyer - (2005) - A flyer I made for WinMagic Inc., made for distribution at the RSA Security conference in February 2006.

WinMagic - DVD - (2006) - The new DVD cover for the WinMagic Disk Encryption software, made primarily in Adobe Photoshop with help from Adobe Illustrator.

VSA - (2002-2004) - I was the webmaster for the Waterloo's Vietnamese Students' Association, so I was responsible for creating graphics for club events (for web and for print). These are just three of the many more posters I created for the club during my time there.

3D Art

I've always loved 3D art, whether it'd be in games, on tv, or in movies. However, I'm not very good at it - but I have a basic grasp of it, and I can make basic objects and animation. Most employers don't require knowledge of 3d graphic programs, but I find it's always something useful to know, just in case. Sometimes, just knowing the basics is enough to create something powerful.

Below are some 3d backgrounds I made, followed by a three simple pictures; a picture of two cars, a picture of two birthday cakes, and a wireframe picture of the car. Click on them for larger versions.
